Nichelle Jackson

DIRECTOR

Nichelle is a qualified town planner with a background in property valuation, and has more than 10 years’ urban planning and design experience in the NSW and ACT. Nichelle also has also worked with the Australian Government providing strategic advice on environmental policy.

Nichelle has worked across small and large-scale commercial, industrial, mixed use and residential projects and has provided advice on a wide range of matters including site selection, environmental assessments and planning approval strategy.

Nichelle’s areas of specialisation include:

  • Strategic planning assessments (ACT and C’wealth)
  • Land development potential assessments and yield analysis
  • Concept urban design and massing studies
  • Strategic planning assessments in support of major urban planning processes, including plan variations (re-zonings), infill and greenfield estate development and major projects
  • Statutory planning and development approvals (ACT)
  • Strategic urban planning assignments, including preparation of master plans and development control plans
  • Community consultation
  • Planning policy submissions
  • ACT Crown Lease considerations and variation strategy.

  • Large scale development site potential analysis – 60,000sqm+ commercial development potential
  • Development approval strategic positioning and planning process optimisation for large scale projects (including residential, mixed use, subdivision, estate planning).
  • Commercial and residential subdivision planning – Town Centre site, Group Centre with adjoining residential, commercial and industrial localities
  • Large scale development assessment for mixed use and medium density residential developments (often in excess of 200 units) – Territory and National; Capital Authority
  • Site selection/due diligence assessment, Approvals strategy preparation and development approvals management for large scale developments
  • Commonwealth and Local Environmental Assessments and planning approvals strategy formulation, implementation and management
  • Strategic land use analysis
  • Preparation of material for ACAT appeals and hearings
  • Direct land sale and development applications
  • Planning studies for proposed Territory Plan Variations
  • Administration of water property rights (C’Wealth)

  • Master of Environmental Management and Development (Merit), Australian National University
