Pieter is a qualified town and regional planner with more than 20 years’ experience in urban and regional planning, CAD design and geographic information systems, and has worked in a wide variety of arenas internationally and in Australia.

Pieter has worked across a wide range of commercial, industrial, mixed use, aged care, and residential developments as well as on major transport and water infrastructure projects. Over this time, he has built significant experience and expertise in:

  • Strategic planning assessments and environmental impact assessments (ACT and C’wealth)
  • Strategic planning assessments in support of major planning processes including re-zonings, estate development and major projects
  • Statutory planning and development approvals for buildings, infrastructure and estate development
  • Transportation and strategic urban planning
  • Community consultation
  • Crown Lease consideration and land title management
  • Development potential appraisal and land demand analysis.

  • Large scale development assessment for mixed-use and medium density residential developments (including in excess of 200 units)
  • Site selection/due diligence assessment, approvals strategy preparation and development approvals management for large scale developments
  • Commonwealth and local environmental assessments and planning approvals strategy formulation, implementation and management including major water security projects (80gig reservoir, cross-border transmission pipeline and water purification plant)

  • Negotiations and preparation of planning approvals with National Capital Authority (multiple commercial and non-commercial examples)
